JLovesMac on Self Confidence

PREACH it Girl!!

$5 E.L.F. Palette - Mermaid of the Deep Sea

I'm shooting for a look that can be worn on New Years Eve, without breaking the bank. What came to mind? The E.L.F $5 palette! Its so inexpensive, if you see it, get it! I bought mine at Target last month. I used all drugstore products for this look, except for my lipgloss. Sorry gals, I felt the NARS turkish delight was the cherry on top for the look. hehe. Anyhooo, enjoy!

What I used...
ELF gel eyeliner
ELF endless eyes pro mini eyeshadow palette
ELF liquid eye liner
REVLON Matte "pink pout" lipstick
NARS "turkish delight" lipgloss
MAYBELLINE dream smooth mousse foundation in "pure beige"
NYX bronzer in "bronze ensemble"

Festive Holiday Makeup using NYX Cosmetics

NYX! Where have you been all my life?! I wasn't completely a NYX lover until now. Wow I'm loving the new Soho Glam Collection palette. Theres a great mix of colors, PRACTICAL colors might I add! The consistency and pigmentation is awesome. I love me some MAC cosmetics, but it can be pricey. The Soho Glam Collection is basically the cost of 2 MAC eyeshadows! This is the perfect palette for someone who travels often or for a beginner. The palette comes with lipglosses, lipstick, and blushes as well. Retailing for only $30.

The gold pigment is MAC reflects Gold

Everything but the lip glosses are great. The glosses lacked pigmentation and while I was applying it, there was barely any product on the applicator. I can do without it to be honest.

What I used...
NYX Soho Glam Collection palette
NYX Doll eyes mascara
NYX false lashes #106
NYX megashine lipgloss "natural"
NYX super skinny marker eyeliner
MAC reflects gold pigment
MAC fix + to set the pigment
MAYBELLINE dream smooth mousse foundation in "pure beige"

I used the same palette to recreate this look as well

I couldn't ask for better roommates :) Huge thank you to Karmaloop for sponsoring the gifts. Straightening Benji's Hair

This was out of pure fun and curiosity! I asked Benji if I can striaghten his hair before he cuts. He was a great sport about it, up until I started straightening ;) I took some screen shots to sum up the process. You can check out the video at the end.

You can already see the fear in his eyes

Look how curly his hair is!

Was hoping to look like Justin Bieber, lol

So Benji ended up loving this look. So much for straightening his hair! haha

San Jose Meet and Greet

Benji and I were in San Jose for my cousin's wedding in late October. We thought it would be fun to do a meet and greet while we were down there. The meeting place was California Pizza Kitchen at Valley Fair Mall. I had an awesome time with lunch, fun conversations, lil bit of shopping, and making new friends :) Check out these photos and a quick video.

These girls are whats up! We must have taken 50 shots of this same photo! haha

Props to all the supportive boyfriends/ husbands! They were talking about starting "Boyfriends of Youtube Addicts Club" Lol
