New Maybeline 'The Buff' Color Sensational Lipstick Swatches

I recently posted a video for the New Maybelline "The Buffs "Color sensational lipsticks giving my overall opinion and quick review of what I thought of each color.

There are 10 colors in "The Buffs" collection, but I didn't pick up all 10. I decided to stick to the colors I thought would work best for me and my skin tone and skip on the colors that weren't too appealing to me.

What I love about these lipsticks is that they have a nice consistency which is very important to me. But even more important is that they have great pigmentation and are moisturizing.

They are not long lasting. Like most lipsticks you have to re-apply after eating or drinking. After trying them out I found that my lips were not chapped or dried from the lipstick.

Here are closeups and swatches of the 7 colors I tried:

First color is 915 blushing beige this color is very Kim Kardardashian! It's a really light nude color that made me think of her signature lip.

This color is 920 nude lust . this has a slight pink color to it thats not too overwhelming.

930 Truffle Tease  was the third color I tested. This is the color begins to go into the brownsie type of nudes. And is actually the type of color I like to try to create on my own with my lipliners.

I really loved how 935 Sin-a-mon  made my teeth look white and just like 930 Truffle Tease  it is more on the brown side of the nude collection.

With 940 Touchable Taupe I noticed that it was thicker and creamer. This would be more of a fall color for my skin tone.

Just like 940 Touchable Taupe,  945 Stormy Sahara is thicker and creamer than the others. This color has more of a peach undertone than a brown though. I think this would look nice as an everyday color in Spring!

For some reason 955 Expresso Exposed didn't apply as I would have liked, but none the less I like the vampy  deep color! This is another great one for the Fall. And of course I love how it really made my teeth look white!

Overall I really liked the 7 colors I tried from "The Buffs" collection. A mix of great colors to wear everyday and a few especially good for spring and fall!

JULIANA LOVES DOGS

Sunday was a very big day for us and Seattle as we watched the big game at Amy & Julians place!
I loved seeing Juliana interacting with the dogs because I still remember when I was pregnant with her and petsitting them as you guys saw in my "Dog in Diaper" vlog from 2012. Or one of the first times she played with Dakota in my "Baby Loves Dog" vlog just last April.

Julianna giving kisses to Dakota during the big game!
Julianna wasn’t expecting to get kisses back!

Another moment I love seeing is Julianna enjoy time with Grampy. Here they are celebrating the Seahawks win!! (14:36)

Donating to March of Dimes!!

On Tuesday, Juliana dropped off the generous donations from our Dancember fundraiser to the March of Dimes. This was a wonderful day to finally get to see all of your donations and everything that built up to this moment come to life.

I was definitely a great sight to see JB hand delivering the money all of you helped raised  during Dancember to the March of Dimes . Thank you all for your generous donations, support  and helping us promote this. This wouldn’t be possible without all of you! So many babies will  be given the help they need !

Husband Goes Out With Makeup in Public

This was one day that really stood out in my mind from last week's vlogs and was a viewer favorite.
This morning Juliana was trying to help mommy out by throwing out her diaper. I couldn't seem to figure out why she was in there and didn't want to throw it in the trash...

But it seemed like all of you guessed it before I even figured it out:

And then the Return of Benjita Part 3 happened! I revealed Benjita's makeup in this vlog since it's not much of a surprise to any of you. And it seems like 3rd times a charm, because he embraced the makeover pretty well compared to the last few times (Part 1 & Part 2)

Benjita 2014!

Benjita learning how to brush the hair out of his face.

As Julian got his makeover it seemed as though Benjita was getting anxious about the mall appearance and kept fussing with her hair!

It was Amy's first time seeing Julianne and lets just say she was a bit freaked out! (7:49)

During the taping of the big reveal (8:06), Benjita took a peek too soon and couldn't hold it in! I'm so proud of Benji and Julian for being such great sports about this and getting makeovers for such a great cause. From your comments on the video all of you seemed to be entertained by it as well:

We may even have a new incentive for this years Dancember...
After reading through the comments, I noticed that all of you really enjoyed the twins appearance (18:34) at the end as they tossed and turned in my belly that night. It makes me happy to share these special moments with all of you and to read that you enjoy them as much as we do!

I hope you liked reading about my favorite moments from last weeks vlogs. Comment and tell me which day way your favorite and if you want to see more favorite moments posts like this!

First Impression-Physicians Formula Youthful Spotless Foundation

In my latest First Impression video I shared my review of the Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Foundation.

According to the packaging, this is a "weightless foundation serum." With a 12 hour long wear formula and an S.P.F. 15. It claims to make you appear 10 years younger instantly!
And is hypoallergenic, paraben-free, non-comedgenic & clinically tested.

I followed the instructions as labeled and applied 2-3 drops directly on the brush included and blended.

I found that although the brush was dense, it was tiny and made it time consuming to blend it out.

Since it took too long to apply the foundation with the "Pro brush" included, I decided to use my own Sigma blending brush to help speed up the process. I also I added setting powder in my t zone as suggested.

My initial thought was that it blends easily and is light weight.
I found that it evens out my skin tone overall but, its not the best coverage for dark spots & I don’t think it would conceal it. It gives glow thats not greasy or oily! After the camera test I thought it looked good, especially considering it has a S.P.F. of 15.

After about 3.5 hours later I thought the foundation looked good in natural light so I was very pleased.

At the end of the night at 11 pm I noticed I looked oily around t zone. Under my nose, I noticed that the redness is exposed, even after applying two layers for foundation during my initial application.

Overall, I think that at the end of the night my complexion looks good but oily.

Tip : I'd suggest touching up with powder to control oil throughout the day

Make sure to watch the full video here to find out my final thoughts and impressions on the Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Spotless Foundation

NEW at Drugstore Makeup Haul!!!

Last night I stop by Bartell Drugs to pick up a few new Spring 2014 makeup items. I notice a lot of the brands were releasing CC creams (which in my opinion are the sequel to BB creams... and pretty much just another type of tinted moisturizer). I skipped those since I have oily-combo skin and didn't feel the need to review them. Anyhoo, I found lots of goodies from Physicians formula, Cover girl, and a new Rimmel foundation.

Physicians Formula Youth Wear foundation $14.95 USD

Physicians Formula Nude wear glow blush and bronzer $12.99 USD

Physicians Formula Nude wear glow concealer $14.99 USD

Covergirl Trublend liquid foundation $8.50 USD

Covergirl Trublend concealer sticks $7.99 USD

 Covergirl Trublend minerals $8.00 USD

Covergirl Trumagic skin perfecter mattifier $7.00 USD

Rimmel Stay Matte liquid mousse foundation $7.50 USD

Ardell double up lashes in "201" $2.79 USD on clearance

Goody dent-less waves foam curlers $10.50 USD

Let me know in the comments section which products you would like to see a first impression review!! If there are several you're interested in, list them in order so I have a better idea of which to record first!
